As we gear up for this exciting launch, we’re looking for our very first Pazzo—a technical point of sale operator who will play a key role in bringing this autonomous kitchen to life and ensuring its smooth daily operations.
Job Overview
As our Pazzo – the technical operator for our Zurich point of sale, you’ll be at the heart of the world’s first fully automated Pazziria. This is a hands-on, hybrid role that combines kitchen prep, robot operation, light maintenance, and customer interaction. You’ll manage the day-to-day running of the location, oversee stock and cleanliness, handle basic troubleshooting, and lead a small team of part-time staff.

Key Responsibilities
Daily Operation & Maintenance of the Robot
- Monitor and refill stock components (ingredients, packaging materials, consumables) as per system alerts and operational needs
- Troubleshoot system errors following strict protocols, demonstrating a solid understanding of the robot’s mechanical functions and an ability
- Interpret error codes and engineer feedback to identify and resolve common technical issues
- Keep accessible parts of the back-office of the system clean and well-organized, ensuring compliance with hygiene and operational standards
Stock Management and Quality Control
- Supervise stock levels to ensure uninterrupted operations
- Manage inventory, tracking incoming and outgoing supplies with accuracy
- Conduct quality control upon product deliveries, ensuring all items meet internal standards
- Ensure compliance with strict hygiene and food safety regulations (HACCP) always maintaining best practices
Customer Facing Area & Point of Sale Management
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of the customer-accessible area, maintaining high presentation standards
- Monitor and maintain POS functionality, ensuring that displayed menus, prices, and promotional materials are accurate and coherent
- Restock vending machines according to stock levels, ensuring availability of drinks and complementary items
- Report any visible degradation or technical issues in the point-of-sales area, addressing concerns proactively to maintain a high-quality customer experience
Operations and Team Coordination
- Act as the team manager for the takeaway’s frontline staff (part-time hires)
- Manage the scheduling and coordination of team members
- Serve as the point of contact (POC) between frontline team and back-office operations
- Report weekly to the Local Director on operational performance, issues and improvements
- Ensure all processes are strictly followed and troubleshoot any operational dysfunctions
Customer Relationship Management
- Handle direct customer interactions, ensuring high levels of satisfaction
- Manage customer complaints professionally, maintaining a positive and polite approach
- Represent the brand values and customer service ethos of Pazzi
Your Profile
- Technical background with relevant training, preferably within a food-related context
- Experience in maintenance roles a strong asset
- Mechanical and technical curiosity
- Ability to operate professional kitchen equipment (including handling and moving of moderately heavy equipment)
- Understanding of usual office software
- Ability to work with irregular schedules
- Willingness to respond to occasional off-hours issues or interventions
- Willingness to travel occasionally for business or training purposes
- Fluent in English and German, French or other languages an asset
